Quick note...
Okay, I don't know who reads this anymore, so I can't write specifics, but things might be looking up pretty soon. I'll let you know more soon.

Family and Friends
This past weekend Mike and I headed to my parents for a surprise 80th Birthday party for my Grandma; her birthday isn't until February, but we knew she would never get out of house in February if the weather was bad. My mom got a hold of a lot of people including some of her classmates, church friends, siblings from Minnesota, and old friends. It was a really nice party and my Grandma D was so surprised. She had never had any sort of party like that; not a bridal shower, baby shower, or big birthday party. She really enjoyed it and it was nice to get all of the family together. I have some pictures, but I can't find my cord to my camera :(

I also found out on Friday that I will be having a phone interview this week or next with Ball State University for an Assessment Research Analyst position; this would be a perfect fit for me to get my feet wet in the Institutional Research field. Also, Mike has finally started taking the monthly classes to begin his manager training process; he now has monthly homework. :)
A couple of weekends ago, Mike and I went to our friends Luke and Melissa's wedding, I was a bridesmaid and Mike ended up ushering. It was down in Jasper and we had a great time. Here's a couple of pictures of the wedding, the couple, and me (with Mike in the background) at the reception.

Hate the BMV
As some of you may have noticed by my facebook status - I hate the BMV. Here's the story... last year in November on the way back from our honeymoon and Chris and Narada's wedding I got a speeding ticket in Kentucky. Then on the way back from Connecticut I got a speeding ticket in Pennslyvania, this was in June. Thus I got a notice in August stating I had two traffic incidents in the past 12 months, thus I need to take the driver safety course or have my license suspended. The thing is the course takes 4 points off of your record for the next 3 years- these 2 tickets are the only thing on my record! Thus I have to take a course to get rid of 4 points off of my record, which is the only thing there- that's stupid! Instead of how many incidents a person has in a year they should look at their overall driving record and points as well before they make me do this course. That's my rant feel free to comment

Wedding Anniversary #1
That's right can you believe that it was only a year ago that we were all together celebrating Mike and I's wedding. I can't believe it. Remember all the fun and all of the problems? Leave a comment with your memory! I'll post more later, off to spend the day with my sweetie :)

So, on that note what shows are you all excited about the season premieres?? Leave me a comment with yours! I'm exctied about House, the Office, I usually like to watch the Biggest Loser, The Big Bang Theory, and The Jay Leno Show. Speaking of house here's a pic.

It's been awhile...
So I skipped the whole month of August, and in doing so I need to make up some Shout outs....
HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY to Christi and Sarah B.
and Happy 2nd year anniversary to my sister and brother in law The Byrds.
Now that I have that out of the way... Here's what you missed if anything, I've been working at the Maxx and getting about 30 hours a week or so, I've still been applying for IR positions and also secretary type positions at Ball State. I haven't heard anything positive back...but I'll keep you posted if I do. (I'll keep the negative feedback to myself) Also, Ball State will have an IR position opening up before the end of the year, so hopefully things will work out and I'll be in a position that fits me. That's about all that went on during the month of August.
Now for September...
HAPPY Birthday to my friend Jenny O.
This month has become increasingly busy... with work, birthday parties, concerts, bachelorette party, weddings, and at the end of the month is our anniversary then Luke and Melissa's wedding. Plus I need to be getting things ready for October. Decorating, planning, for fall and then Christmas. What are the plans for the holidays??? Any thoughts on what people are doing where they plan on going??? Also speaking of Anniversaries do prefer to stick to the "traditional" or "contemporary" list of gifts? Leave me your thoughts.

The end of the month
Happy Belated Birthday to my sister (in law) Narada! Hope you had a great day yesterday!
In the career front, I have a phone interview with the University of Southern Indiana on Monday. This is a school that is in Evansville so only about an hour south of my family in Southern Indiana. The position is not exactly what I want to be doing (research), but would be more administration in a research office. It would be a step in the right direction though.
It seems like all of our friends are getting ready to move this weekend, just across town, but we'll probably be helping them out. It makes me glad we decided to renew our lease, and we've found a subleaser if we need one anytime within the next year. He's a friend who is still living at home, but could afford our place on his own. YEAH!
This may come as a surprise to some people, but I slightly have baby fever. Mike and I want to wait until I have a "career" to get started in the family business. So I've been thinking... any pets I've had have died, maybe I should start now with a plant or a pet. Any suggestions? We don't want to put money into a pet deposit really though...
